On getting lucky

LUCK is my favorite four-letter word. πŸ€ When I wake up each morning, I always feel like I won the lottery. I don’t need puppies and rainbows or an illusion of perfection to feel extraordinarily lucky because waking up and seeing daylight streaming through my window means I’ve already beat the mind-bending odds of 1 in 400 quadrillion. Yes, β€œthe odds of the exact sperm fertilizing the exact egg that grew into you could be as long as 1 in 400 quadrillion,” which means that every single person is a true miracle.

Living in precarious times in a world with much uncertainty is part and parcel of the human experience, and it took a hell of a lot of luck for us to get this far. The treasure at the end of the rainbow is YOU. The highlight of my day is when I meet a random stranger, a special and unique individual, and have the pleasure of becoming intimately acquainted and creating magical moments with the miracle that is YOU.

I am convinced that the trick to being lucky in life is to surround yourself with people who appreciate the gift of your presence and understand that they are lucky to be in your life. Happy St. Patrick's Day! Wishing you a LUCKY DAY and a year ahead of good fortune. May your pockets be heavy and your heart be light. πŸŒˆπŸ’°πŸ’š

β€œ May your troubles be less and your blessings be more, and nothing but happiness come through your door.”
